Status report on the development of updated DAYCLI sequence (Issue 51)
Denis presented on the different definitions of climatological day in Luxembourg, France and Brazil to demonstrate that there is no homogeneity across the world. Sergio presented the first idea on how to encode a DAYCLI sequence. It was suggested to simplify the approach. There was a discussion about how to describe snow details. Discussion on looping versus subsets... Action: Marijana post suggestion on dates to GitHub issue. Action: Sergio will provide some samples for testing.
The team reviewed the following issues of GRIB2 and concluded as validated. For both issues, decoding of sample dataa was tested only by ECcodes but the team agreed to approve them considering the fact that main users of the products would be ECcodes users.
No. | GRIB2 | Issue | Link | Assignee | Status |

- The Secretariat presented editorial changes that were identified by the copyeditor during the publication process and the team agreed that these changes would be submitted to FT2021-1 for approval as editorial changes.
- The Secretariat presented the proposal for managing status relying on Github workflow and for managing Github branch.
- The team agreed
- to remove the "status" column of the tables.
- to discourage the use of "pre-operational" status, by speeding up the publication of the tables.
After the meeting, the schedule was updated through the discussion between Chair and the Secretariat.
- One 1-1.5 hour meeting to confirm schedule: March 16
- Deadline for submission of proposals: April 2
- Two 2-hour meetings to review new proposals: April 20-21
- Two 2-hour meetings to conclude the proposals: May 18-19
- Deadline for validation (if not completed by the meeting above): June 18
- One additional meeting to finalize remaining issues if necessary: June 22
- Opening and approval of agenda
- Status report on the development of updated DAYCLI sequence
- Conclusion of remaining issues for FT2021-1 and summary
- Editorial changes submitted to FT2021-1
- Discussion on Github status management
- Tentative schedule for FT2021-2

- C.f. 7.3 Testing with relevant applications: For changes that have an impact on automated processing systems, the extent of the testing required before validation should be decided by the designated committee on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the change. Changes involving a relatively high risk and/or impact on the systems should be tested by the use of at least two independently developed tool sets and two independent centres. In that case, results should be made available to the designated committee with a view to verifying the technical specifications.
For summary, following issues were concluded as validated at the previous meeting in December and they will be submitted for the approval process, if there are no further discussion.
