  • Metadata IG (Jennifer): The MIG's next meeting is this coming Monday, 6/12. Agenda. For the next meeting, we are going to begin the discussion on how the community wants to move forward on the MODS to RDF discussion. We will be deciding on the steps to take us there as well as deadlines. We also intend on bringing in external folks who have already done this mapping.

Islandora GitHub wiki weeding

Nick Ruest: There is much out of date info. We should do some weeding. This came up during PHP version discussions. It would be great for a group of people to go through it. Usage as a git repo may make it easier. Mark Jordan: Could the documentation interest group help? Maybe Melissa Anez can birng this to them? Consensus: this would be great, not super pressing

  • Metadata IG (Jennifer) Rosie Le Faive: meeting on Monday, seems like lots of interest.
  • IR interest group (Bryan) No meeting since last time.
  • Security Interest Group (Rosie) There was a meeting on Wednesday.

Islandora Camps

Daniel Lamb: Installation scripts communication, may be part of the community sprints. Working on API-X integration. Microservices integration coming soon. Mirrador will not work for now due to dependencies. Investigating seadragon. F4 API spe is: work in progress. Jonathan Green is looking into ansible.

Nick Ruest: Looking into an activemq deployment for the VM. There will be two presentations at OR.

  • Diego Pino Navarro: Working on IIF proxy. Hoping to release soon and get feedback.
  • Jonathan Green: CLAW: trying to create Ansible play books. 7.x: Working on phantom JS regression testing for updates. Nick mentioned that phantom JS might be abandoned soon. JG may move to headless chrome in the future.
  • Bryan Brown: We've been playing around with https://github.com/ulsdevteam/islandora_datastreams_io to do batch metadata replacement.
  • Rosie Le Faive: A student is working on a QA interface for Islandora. Created for a large card catalogue project.

  • Carell Jackimiek: Trying to ingest (derivatives) newspapers faster.
  • Daniel Lamb: Started a monthly meeting between Islandora/Samvera/F4 tech leads.
