  • Welcome Sean Knowlton. Round of introductions. Sean, Tulane University, Librarian for digital scholarship.

  • Islandora Foundation AGM

    • Coming up March 5. Revamp our bylaws to comply with Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act. Invitations sent out to all members. Most RSVP-ed. The by-law changes affect the categories of membership, they have to be voted in by a majority of each class of members. 3 votes on each proposal. 34 active institutional members. From each member, one person can vote, more can attend and observe. Melissa will facilitate at the meeting.

  • Bulk ingest options

    • Bethany - at the last meeting asked what the community supported plan was for bulk ingest? Something will be created by the community. Can/should ICC help with this? If new to the project, you may know where to go when moving data from other systems.
    • Marc Jordan’s workbench – is the de facto option. Perhaps someone can help with adding GUI to the desktop add-on to make it more approachable. Use google sheets instead of csv.
    • If you want to get the workbench you have to know how to do that. There are not separate logins for multiple users.
    • It is possible to encapsulate it, so that there is no install. Not sure how.
    • Looking for something similar to the upload a zip file in Islandora 7.

    • We have multiple ways to ingest in Islandora 7. So, for islandora 8, it should be OK to have multiple ways/options would be good.
    • Islandora 7 - DGI developed a CSV ingest module using XSLT and Google Sheets. Its great for migration. Its a UI based module that works pretty well. We control the XSLT templates.

  • ICC chair tasks

    • Melissa – usually sets up the agendas. Her position will not be filled right away. Proposal: the chair of the meeting sets up the agenda for the meeting.
    • What is it involved? A lost of it id rolled over form the previous meeting. Add new business as necessary, anything that comes up from the community.
    • Permissions? Everyone should have access.
    • Everyone agreed

  • Metadata IG (Rosie)
    • Danny: Demo – how to update RDF mapping, how to find the fields in Drupal; Mapping from 7x mods to RDF – do a sprint around doing an audit of the fields in the RDF, identify the gaps and fix/implement them.
  • IR interest group (Bryan)
    • Nothing to report.
  • ISLE Interest Group (Danny or Bryan)
    • Danny: Islandora 8 update to the group – I’ve done a lot of work making the sandbox ISLE, integrating Fedora 6 with ISLE, creating resources for exporting/importing repo data, code changes, I can now start the community review. When done it can be converted to ISLE. 7x – there is an update coming up soon.
  • Multi-tenancy Interest Group (Brandon)
    • Nothing to report.
