Revision control allows you to jump back to a previous revision of an object. It is important to note that Metadata Objects (Subject Headings, etc ...) are not kept in revision control. Only Record Objects. It is also important to note that when viewing previous revisions of objects, if one of the linked metadata objects has changed that change will be reflected in all revisions of the object because the Subject Headings are LINKS to the metadata objects and not stored directly with the objects themselves.

When viewing the revision page for an object the current version is presented on the left. Select a previous revision of the object on the right from the drop down menu.

Differences between the two items will be highlighted.

If you wish to revert to the previous version of the object click on the "Revert" button on the lower right hand side of the screen.

Digital Assets are also placed in revision control. If you upload new digital files the old ones will not be replaced. All previous digital assets are still subject to fixity testing. Uploading the same file multiple times should be avoided. Note about Duplicates in revision control.
