Polls
Polls are a way to quickly gather insights from the people in a meeting. Polls can be started when in a room. To begin a poll, it is retrieved via a button in the Main Menu, the question and possible answers are entered, and options are selected. Once everyone has answered (or the poll was forcible ended by the creator), the results are shown in the form of a bar chart nearby.
Once everyone is present in the room, one user should select the Poll option from the Main Menu. The first field is for the prompt to be shown on the poll for those answering, while the other fields are for the possible answers. Unused fields can be left empty. After pressing next, the poll creator is presented with an array of options. They are largely self-explanatory:
- with "countdown", you can automatically end the poll after a certain amount of time has elapsed
- with "mutliple choice", users can select any number of options before submitting
- "save result" allows you to save the poll into a project
- "public votes" means that when the results are displayed, people's names show on what they voted for
- "realtime viz" shows the poll results in real-time, as each person submits their votes
Once everyone has sent their responses, the poll creator has pushed the big red button to end the poll, or (if present), the countdown has run out, the results of the poll will be displayed in the form of a bar chart, which appears in front of the poll creator.
To retrieve the results of a saved poll, simply open the "create poll" menu, and then press the library icon on the bottom left. A bookshelf with the names of the saved polls will appear. Select one, and the results of that poll will appear in the form of a bar chart.
