Maintenance

This page is devoted to upcoming maintenance, version upgrades and cleanup activities (sometimes the results of incomplete Proposals).

Upgrades:

• Java 9 - will require replacement of service provider registry (as used in GeoTools)

Inspiration:

GeoServer 2.12

• CITE Test Upgrade - fork cite engine now that it is in github and work on certification
• REST API Refresh - migrate to spring mvc, focus of 2017 code sprint

• Spring 4 Upgrade - required for Java 8 compatibility
• Upgrade to Java 8 - thanks Justin
