Install Remaining SQL Server Cluster Nodes
Previous Install First SQL Server Cluster Node | Install Additional SQL Server Clusters Next |
---|
Adding nodes to an existing cluster is less work than creating the first node.
The primary node of the cluster must be active in order to add a SQL Server node to the cluster.
-
Log on to the new cluster node
You must useg an account that is a member of the local Administrators group and which has domain Account Operator rights.
-
Complete all the non-automated processes described in Cluster Install Preparation.
The automated portions of Preparatory Tasks will be performed by SQL FineBuild.
-
Add the new node to the SQL cluster
You should run exactly the same process you used to install the first cluster node, but change the /Server: parameter to reflect the current node. SQL FineBuild will work out what parameters need to be used with the Microsoft SQL Installer.
-
Complete the Residual Interactive Tasks given for Main Instance Server Build.
