This page describes the SQL FineBuild Configuration Report File.

The FineBuild Configuration Report File shows a summary of the parameters used for a given SQL FineBuild install. The configuration report file can be found on the System drive, in the \Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server \FineBuild Logs folder.

A separate FineBuild Configuration Report file is created for each SQL instance that is installed, and for each of the SQL FineBuild Standard Builds.

There are two main ways for using the Configuration Report File.

  • Checking the parameters that will be used

A Configuration Report can be produced before SQL FineBuild does any other work that will show the parameters that will be used in the subsequent install. To obtain this report add the following parameter at run time:

    /ReportOnly

Click to see a Sample /ReportOnly Report

  • Checking the status of what has been installed

A Configuration Report showing the status of what has been installed will always be produced by SQL FineBuild. No additional action is needed to obtain this report

Click to see a Sample Completion Report
