11 Tracking the Procurement Process
OPRE needs to track progress of the procurement process for each agreement as it gets awarded. This process includes 6 steps from acquisition planning to award with various tasks that need to be completed both internally at OPRE and externally with the Procurement Shop. At each step, there will be an explanation of what needs to be completed, as well as a place to mark down who completed the task and when. The legacy system does not have an ability to track these steps, so this is currently tracked in a spreadsheet managed by the Procurement Team. By building a new capability to track the procurement process in OPS, we will improve transparency and efficiency across OPRE by building a shared, real-time view of the process with awareness of the current status, any delays or actions that need attention.
