The rules for this server closely follow our Community Guidelines. Here they are for those of you too lazy to click the link:
- Be excellent to each other
- Keep things mostly school appropriate
- As teenagers ourselves, we understand that we're not always in line with what schools define as "appropriate". For example, stuff like mild cussing and non-offensive memes are okay.
- Don't use racial slurs or other discriminatory language
- We have a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for slurs or personal attacks. If you are found violating this rule, this is grounds for a PERMANENT BAN.
- Don't personally attack any other students
- Don't do anything that you might regret in the future
- Don't attempt to impersonate Academus staff
- It would be silly to, since Academus staff members have a green badge next to their name that says "staff". If they don't have this badge, then they aren't staff.
Minecraft specific rules:
- You must have an Academus account with an integration linked to do basically anything (chat, interact with the world, etc.)
- This server has Factions installed, but factions are peaceful by default. You can change this by doing
/f flag set peaceful no
. - No unnecessary griefing. For example, if you discover a house built in the wilderness, please don't just destroy it. It helps everyone have a good time.
- If you destroy a structure that moderators have rolled back from being destroyed, you will receive up to 2 warnings then be banned permanently.
- In an extension of our Community Guidelines, please do be especially respectful to staff and moderators. They're just trying to do their jobs. Failure to do so will result in up to 2 warnings then a permaban.
- No external hacks or cheats.
- If you dismiss a staff member's request with "but it's not against the rules!" you will be banned. Permanently. No appeal. Staff have final say.
If you don't like how we run this server, go somewhere else. There are tons of other servers you could go on.
Being generally disruptive (spamming, etc.) will also not be tolerated.
If you are found violating one of these rules, one of our moderators will take action (whether that be a kick, temp ban, or something else is up to them). Staff members have final say in all decisions.
