@rivaratyr I added some inline comments, but in general I think this will be difficult to approve through the grants program. These are the reasons:
- the budget is very high for a new grantee
- currently the deliverables are very unspecific and describe the current state rather than the target state
- for UI-focused projects we usually ask for wireframes/visuals
- the deliverables don't add a lot of value to the ecosystem, since they're very specific to your project
- feel free to apply at the decentralized futures program instead, but I suggest to improve the proposal first

The specification of each deliverable should describe the finished state rather than the current state.

We usually expect new teams to apply for a L1 or L2 grant, rather than a L3.

Thanks for the application @rivaratyr and for making the changes. Additionally:
- The level indicates "2" at the top, when really it is a level 3 grant. Can you update this?
- I'm not seeing that the price/level has been changed since the last comments.
- The platform is a cool idea, but the deliverables don't really seem specific to substrate or Polkadot tech. I agree with my colleague that this project would be better suited for the decentralized futures program since they are looking for more gaming applications. However I would recommend adding more details to flesh out how your vision will bring value to the broader ecosystem.
- Also because we don't typically fund Solidity contracts, and can't cover the VR parts.
Hi @rivaratyr, thank you for the application and the effort you put into it, but the committee decided not to support it. Main reasons being that the project is EVM-focused, the deliverables are very specific to your project and mainly don't fit the program scope, and the price. Best of luck! |
