+### Overview
+
+- Establish Trust and Credibility in Web3 by onchain Reputation Ranking
+- Inspired by Google PageRank, Octan Network invents a **novel onchain Reputation Ranking System** to evaluate the importance of onchain entities, extract user persona and behaviors, social insights and interrelations within Web3 ecosystems. Reputation score is computed from onchain transactions via adaptive PageRank and methematical pairwise ranking algorithms. Reputation score can be carried by *soulbound token* to prove trustworthiness & credibility of Web3 entities. Octan also labels onchain addresses, classifying contracts and dapps, making it more human-readable, and fueling AI/ML applications with meaningful features. Octan Reputation ranking and its onchain analytics platform is efficient to analyze the importance and impact of dapps, to qualify and segment Web3 users and onchain entities. This distincts Octan from all other onchain analytics firms focusing on cash-flow & financial indicators, making Octan the 1st marketing tool provider in the Web3 space, where airdrops, retroactive campaigns, IDOs, and whitelisting are popular.

Web3, in a nascent, has no proper metric to measure trustworthiness, no solution to extract social insights and user behaviors. That's why Octan Network has attacked to onchain analytics problem but focuses more to establish quantitative measurement of trust, to qualify dapps and segment users in Web3 space. This implies wide applications in Web3 marketing tools, user segmentation, and further in credit-lending onchain without conpromising privacy and autonomy. +### Project Details
+
+Currently, Octan production has **5 major components** as follows:
+- *Data Processing Pipeline:* data lake contains raw block data collected from various blockchains. In pre-processing, onchain raw data is transformed to structural (transactional) data together with onchain statistics (total txns, gas spent, tx volume, etc). The pre-processed data is stored at data warehouse as input to compute reputation score and ranking, and to query for analytical purposes later.
+- *Reputation Ranking System:* the key component of Octan Network, implemented adaptive Pagerank algorithms to initiate directed graph and compute reputation score from onchain transactional data. Reputation scores and ranking list of onchain addresses are stored at reputation DB (as a warehouse) for query and analytical purposes later.
+- *Reputation Board:* an interface for users to search onchain addresses (and/or dapps), their reputation scores & ranking, onchain statistics.
+- *1ID & Soulbound:* an wallet management tool, allowing users to mint soulbound token (SBT) carrying their reputation score as a proof of trust and contribution onchain. Octan 1ID also offers interface for users to track their onchain activities.

+- Polkadot is a heterogeneous multi-chain system, hence data on the ecosystem is complex and fragmented into many places (e.g. Kusama, Polkadot, parachains, parathreats). This makes difficulties to track and analyze onchain data, especially to extract user behaviors and social insights. Octan Network provides a comprehensive solution combining reputation ranking, labeling and onchain analytics to extract meaningful insights and individual persona from onchain transactions, then establishing trustworthiness & credibility natively onchain.

+## Future Plans
+
+- Regarding technical development, after successfully implementing onchain Reputation Ranking on EVM-compatible parachains, Octan will expand to support non-EVM parachains and the entire Polkadot ecosystem (including Kusama ecosystem).
+- Regarding business and marketing, Octan Network is promoting partnership with media, offering comprehensive reputation reports and in-depth analytics on dapps and their user quality to spreading the concept of reputation score. Octan also partners with marketing agencies, IDO & airdrop platforms, launchpad, provides them reputation APIs, onchain social insights, individual persona and user segmentation to run airdrop, retroactive campaigns, IDO whitelists more efficiently and effectively.
