Using Github Issues

VIVO Scholar

The next couple of sections correspond to how we could use Github Issues and Projects to guide (or manage) the VIVO Scholars Task Force.

Use of Github Issues

Issues can be created in the project under the Issues tab and selecting the New issue button. Then enter the title and body of the issue and click submit.

Option:

a) If you are capturing for the backlog, this is all that you need to do.

b) If you know the sprint you would like the issue added to, select the gear icon under projects and select the corresponding sprint name. At this point, post into the vivo-scholar Slack channel and add a message that there is an issue you would like to get added to the sprint.

Note: There are other ways to add Github issues and decided to capture a single process to keep it simple.

Use of Github Projects

Github projects will be created at the community level so issues created in repositories can be tracked. You can see open projects here:

https://github.com/orgs/vivo-community/projects

Projects will be named with the project followed by the sprint name. For example, the first sprint was: "VIVO Scholars - Sprint 1".
