Steve showed a blog article by Randal Olson on matplotlib and plotly, bokeh, and seaborn.
Jamie showed us a kymograph a 2d graphic that shows motion along a 1d lattice. The plot visualized traffic jams over time.
Bugra showed us an animated 3d visualization of cells dividing in a particle field that he made in matlab. He also showed us his xkcdify code for matlab to make xkcd-like plots.
May showed us a ggplot histogram utilizing a scale fill gradient.
Nate presented a problem he was working on identifying traits in bacteria. We brainstormed some visualization ideas.
