Update samples to Protocol API:

to show new users the preferred API
to have a sample to demo/test/polish VariantValue write-back-scenario
org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.Settings.Connection with GetSettings() and Update() is a good candidate 😉

It would be good to continue to have an example that uses the Tmds.DBus library.

Did you add this?

I don't think we need this per-se because the API is working very much as users would expect it to. If it got added, I'm fine with including it.
