This milestone contains six proposals for changes to the Audubon Core vocabulary.

Three of the proposals involve creating controlled vocabularies for existing Audubon Core terms: dcterms:format, ac:variant, and ac:subtype. In addition to creating the controlled vocabularies, the proposals make changes to the property terms' metadata to make them compatible with the controlled vocabularies.

These three proposals would bring into existence all of the controlled vocabularies that the original Audubon Core vocabulary called for, but did not create.

Three additional proposals add terms to Audubon Core that are important for providing metadata for records associated with sounds. The proposals are part of ongoing work by the Audubon Core Maintenance Group to develop best practices for sound metadata. A seventh issue will change an example given for the term ac:resourceCreationTechnique. Under the procedures specified in the change process of the Vocabulary Maintenance Specification, this change does not require public comment or Executive Committee approval.
