I love open-source projects and coding in Crystal.

My current focus is on Goban, a faster and more efficient alternative for generating QR Codes in pure Crystal. In short term, I'm planning to add support for more QR Code standard features such as Micro QR Code and ECI encoding, and explore the possibility of creating a separate library for scanning/decoding QR Codes.

In the future, I would also like to add support for rMQR Code, which is a new type of QR Code that can fit in long, narrow spaces with about the same amount of information as the original version. This is a new standard established in 2022 and not yet supported on many platforms. If I made Goban support it, it will be one of the very few software that supports it other than Denso Wave's proprietary tools.
