Who am I?
My name is Leszek (pronounced 'Le-Sheck' in English) and I'm from Poland. I'm enthusiast of digital marketing analytics, data analytics, open-source and SEO. Right now I'm working as a product analyst at Brainly.
What am I doing?
I have created 4 tools for SEO analytics:
- RAhrefs for downloading back links and offsite data (link)
- googleSuggestQueriesR for conducting keyword research based on Google Suggest service (link)
- screamingFrogR for automating SEO web crawler (link)
- pagespeedParseR to download the data about the performance of page loading [link]
I also freely shared my knowledge with multiple fellow specialists and businesses.
Why am I doing it?
When I worked as a SEO specialist I always wondered what could I do if so much of my working time wasn't wasted on repetitive downloading and cleaning data in Excel. This motivated me to learn R, Python and SQL to speed up the process and have more time to do something meaningful.
Always wanted to make working with SEO data easier and faster, so I started publishing my R packages to help other people with it.
What is my goal?
There are 4 fields of digital analytics I'd love to cover with my work:
- [ ] data gathering
- [ ] visualization and analysis
- [ ] automation of hard/unscalable tasks (migrations, etc.) with machine learning, especially NLP
- [ ] semi-automatic or automatic insight generation
So far my packages are focused on data gathering as there is not much you can do with the data when you don't have the data at all. However, I want it to change as soon as I have some support.
Why is your sponsorship important?
My daily work doesn't leave me a lot of time to work on open-source. Your support would enable me to have more time in the week to fix bugs, create new tools and share my knowledge.
Can I find something more about your work?
Of course! Please visit my blog: https://leszeksieminski.me/. You can also reach me out via LinkedIn and Twitter.
