I'm going to merge this PR this will create a new GitHub release, though not necessarily on the stores. We need this for a potential F-Droid release.

I know that none of you guys like the half-screen scanner, but it is the most sensible implementation. Especially given issues like #3935.
Is there an expected release date for the full-screen scanner?

I'm going to merge this PR this will create a new GitHub release, though not necessarily on the stores. We need this for a potential F-Droid release.
