Running pydevice with Conda environments

When @hinderling and I were working on this we did not struggled for a while to get it to work with Conda, and eventually gave up and used a venv. I had previously set this up with conda though as I recall. @
@IvoVellekoop did something change in the final version that got merged that made conda envs less usable?
