This PR is focused on creating a new notebook targeting application 1 of the Quantum Chromodynamics chapter in the report. This PR includes changes to .gitignore, new files in the embeddedFigures/ directory, new script for generating resource estimates targeting application 1 for QCD, and the QCD notebook itself.
