Goals

1. Remove the Weblinks family of extensions (all files) from the CMS core in Joomla 3.4.
2. No negative effects for new installs of Joomla 3.4 due to removed files.
3. Weblinks in existing sites upgrading to 3.4 must not be affected. Weblinks must continue to work.

FAQs

What will happen to my existing Weblinks when I upgrade to Joomla 3.4?

Nothing. Weblinks will still work. However, the extension updates will now be handled separately instead of through the core update system. You may find when you upgrade to Joomla 3.4 or later that Weblinks will have new updates ready.

How do I get Weblinks if I install Joomla 3.4?

It will be listed on the JED in a special category, so you can download it in the normal way or use the JED store inside the Joomla Administrator.

How are translations handled?

All translations are included with the extension (if you have another solution, make a pull request).
