The striped list provided by standard was not theming aware, so it does not fit themes and has issues with stripe creation and text visibility that need to be fixed.
The prissi implementation blends white every two lines, which is too aggressive in dark themes, and blending white on a white background doesn't result in stripes.
This issue is fixed based on Hajo's code, which also brings in a purple and silver theme.
