This is the initial pre-release of the Human Sensor Placement Framework, providing a standardized approach to sensor placement across different sensing modalities and applications.

What's Included

  • Complete anatomical landmark definitions for 16 major body segments
  • Standardized coordinate system specifications
  • Three-tier precision level system
  • Initial documentation including:
    • Framework overview and principles
    • Detailed anatomical tables with visualizations
    • Integration guidelines for BIDS/HED compatibility

Current Status

This pre-release represents the initial public version of our framework, intended for:

  • Early adopter feedback
  • Community review of anatomical definitions
  • Initial implementation testing
  • Integration planning with existing standards

Known Limitations

  • Pending bioRxiv paper publication
  • Lacking validation studies for inter-operator reliability
  • Software tools for coordinate calculation still under development
