R 2.14 is tentatively scheduled for October 31, and there is usually a new version of Bioconductor following the release of R. By that time, qtbase should be available to ordinary users, hence it will be (slightly) easier for them to install qtbase and qtpaint.

The cranvas package should have finished most of the plot types in GGobi (except the network visualizations), as well as other common plot types in iplots (let's see what is in Simon's new package) and Mondrian/MANET.

This milestone will focus on:

• bug fixing and aesthetics improvements of existing plots
• new types of plots such as hexagons, tiles
• speed issues, e.g. be more parsimonious in listeners and strict on meta components
• vignette
