Hi GitHub! Here's Gary, a Machine Learning Engineer @ByteDance. I also go by the name ariseus online.
I see myself as a blend of both researcher and engineer, combining deep theoretical insights with practical, hands-on problem solving. I studied Computer Science and Applied Mathematics during my undergraduate years. I work on projects in Machine Learning, AI for Science, High-Performance Computing (HPC), full-stack development, game programming, and more.
I'm a PROUD Arch Linux user. I care about writing clean, maintainable, efficient, and scalable code. I also care about theoretical and mathematical foundations. I wanted to become a mathematician when I was a freshman.
I also do beginner-level exploitation and reverse engineering challenges. I enjoy solving CTF challenges and used to have fun with them.
I play League of Legends, AAA games, and I watch anime.
