Project Post Mortem

Approach and Process

1. What in our processes and approach to this project would we do differently next time?

Jay: Be more decisive in the planning stages to avoid and DB related issues.

Sam: Would be nice to be included in the backend planning stages.

Julian: Come out with workflow and segregate individual roles and tasks.

Leon: Would prefer to have more time and proper processes.

2. What in my process and approach to this project went well that we would repeat next time?

Jay: Frontend and backend collab was well done.

Sam: Figured out how to use github in a g roup setting.

Julian: Everybody contributed their strength in their project.

Leon: We agreed on a general idea quickly and got to work on it.

Code and Code Design

1. What in our code and program design in the project would we do differently next time?

Standardizing the layouts and views and have a better way of visualizing the DB.

2. What in my code and program design in the project went well? Is there anything we would do the same next time?

Using Devise, Active Admin, Bootstrap and integrating a bit of PayPal.

WDI Unit 3 Post Mortem

1. What habits did we use during this unit that helped me?

Google, git stash , how to manage expectations of group members.

2. What habits did we have during this unit that we can improve on?

Open discussion on certain topics and during the planning stages.

3. How is the overall level of the course during this unit? (instruction, course materials, etc.)

Would be good to explore what rails does behind the background and starting with Ruby first would have helped.
