Simple Meme Creator. Completly ad-free, and adds no watermarks. Memes can be created from templates downloaded from the MemeTastic archive, from pictures shared into the app and pictures from gallery & camera.

Privacy

The app doesn't share any personal information with other apps or any web-server. Custom images can be added via camera and gallery. If the user decides to save a meme image it will be stored locally in the device public pictures folder. Meme templates can be downloaded from the memetastic-assets archive (zip file).

Contributions

The project is always open for contributions and accepts pull requests. The project uses AOSP Java Code Style, with one exception: private members are _camelCase instead of mBigCamel. You may use Android Studios auto reformat feature before sending a PR.

Translations can be contributed on GitHub or via E-Mail. You can use Stringlate () to translate the project directly on your Android phone. It allows you to export as E-Mail attachement and to post on GitHub.

For inclusion of new fonts or memes visit issue #1. Please only post stuff you own, is allowed to redistribute, or to be considered fair use. Meme templates will only get added if there are no existing watermarks (of e.g. other meme creators) and if they are in a good image quality (do a quick search before).

We consider fair use of the included meme templates. (All trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners and are used here under the terms of Fair Use and the Digital Millennium Copyrights Act (DMCA).)
We don't own any of these unless other specified. If one or more meme template (/font) violates copyright laws and you want them to be removed, please send a mail to the maintainer and they will get removed as soon as possible. Note that memes are pretty sure free advertisments for what's in the picture (so for you or your company).

If you publish an app based on MemeTastic you MUST

• Comply with the terms of GPLv3
• Keep existing copyright notices in the app and hand out full source code
• Show that the app is based on MemeTastic by MemeTastic contributors. Include a link to https://github.com/gsantner/memetastic
