ConExp-NG 0.5.1
We are happy to announce the first official release of ConExp-NG! As the name might suggest, ConExp-NG is aimed at becoming a successor to ConExp. The first release is the product of approximately four months of work from Jan-Frederik Kassel, David Bormann and Eugen Kiss guided by Prof. Robert Jäschke as the project's initiator. Learn more about ConExp-NG in its Wiki.
Caution! ConExp-NG is still alpha software. There are a lot of things that we couldn't manage to implement in this relatively short timeframe. See the list of issues for milestone 0.6 to get an overview of upcoming work and features. In fact, it was clear from the beginning that we won't be able to create a perfect successor to ConExp. This is why we explicitly tried to lay the foundation for future work for example by providing a Developer Guide. To find out how ConExp-NG differs from ConExp you can take a look at the attached PDF-file (it is in German, though). You can also take a look through the wiki for some early design documents.
Try ConExp-NG out and if you find problems (which you'll certainly find at this stage ;)) or have suggestions then please file a corresponding issue. Here are some screenshots to stir your appetite:
