How does UNTB hold up with microbial or other species with minimal disbursal constraints?

How does mutation rate of certain genes play into the modeling of this theory?

I'm super excited to play around with simulations and read papers to better understand how this theory has helped us understand how the world works. I find myself still attached to the ideas things are more complicated than neutral theory can explain, but I will explore that further.
