Minor update to version 1.0 of the reviewers' proof to include the Apsipa article - which was finally accepted on 27 October 2024 - and format it in line with the rest of the manuscript. Lots of typos corrected, homogenization of the K_a / pK_a notations, and addes the screen printing setup in appendix F.

v1.0_reviewers_proof

This first release is the thesis' manuscript as it was transmitted to the reviewers. The APSIPA's article is still included as is (i.e. without adequate formatting), and one technical drawing is missing in appendix. Also there are a few highlighted remarks throughout.
