The previous handling of 404s didn't work in production; only in dev. This fixes that, thanks in no small part to Leo's work uncovering and configuring the necessary middleware plugin.
Also: fixes some styling issues; adds a nicer "404" to the page; fixes a font display issue that affects some users in other languages.
