As per the course description, "This [Software Engineering] course examines the discipline and practice of software engineering, providing historical and contemporary views, while examining software development process models with emphasis on the pertinent roles, activities, and artifacts present at each stage of development. Related ethical issues are explored."
We examine these concepts through readings, in class discussions, and through a semester-long team project where we select a Humanitarian Free and Open Source Software (H/FOSS) Project to develop a testing framework and testing driver for. This wiki is to document our progress through this process throughout the semester.
The rest of this homepage will provide an overview of our experiences working on this project, and a full timeline for our project can be found here.
After some initial deliberations, our team selected the project Martus. We worked to get the project up and running, but ran into difficulties when we realized the project was no longer being supported. We decided it would be best to move to another choice, and decided on the Spatiotemporal Epidemiological Modeler (STEM) Project as our second attempt.
