Here we can document and discuss the status of various branches found in the main repository.

  • chamber
    • Maintainer: Jian
    • Description: Chamber code.
    • Status/Action: obsolete and was replaced by chamber_2.
  • chamber_2
    • Maintainer: Jian
    • Description: Updated chamber code
    • Status/Action: To be merged eventually. First, the fractal branches should be merged. Following this, a chamber_3 branch may be created and used to rebase/merge with the newest code.
  • coag_conv_comb, coag_conv_multi_comb and coag_conv_multi_comb
    • Maintainer: Matt
    • Description: For a paper with Lee
    • Status/Action: Will not be merged. Will not be deleted.
  • condense_branch
    • Maintainer: Matt
    • Description:

  • deposition
    • Maintainer: Jeff
    • Description: First try at adding dry deposition to PartMC
    • Status/Action: Obsolete and was replaced by fast_deposition_new
  • entrain

    • Description: Entrainment code for the cloud parcel model and has a new scenario library.
    • Status/Action: Actual code changes should be merged to PartMC by using an entrain_2 branch to separate the scenario library and the actual PartMC code changes.

  • explicit_condense
    • Maintainer: Matt

  • fast1d
    • Maintainer: Matthew
    • Description: Implementation of the binned algorithm for particle removals.
    • Status/Action: Is obsolete? as fast_deposition_new contains all this code.
  • fractal_2, fractal_3
    • Maintainer: Jian
    • Description: Fractal coagulation
    • Status/Action: fractal_2 is obsolete. fractal_3 should be merged. A fractal_4 branch should be created to rebase this code to the current master since it is rather out of date.
  • jcurtis2_small_additions
    • Maintainer: Jeff
    • Description: Adds functions for dynamic and kinematic viscosity, thermal speed (of air molecule or particle) and air mean free path to env_state.F90 and a few constants (gravity, von karman). Changes have to do with Brownian coagulation kernel and dry deposition.
    • Status/Action: Easily can incorporate changes to a more current branch (either fast_deposition_new or the private branch brownian_coag).
  • jtian_ship_plume
    • Maintainer: Jian
    • Description: New dilution scheme for the ship plume study.
    • Status/Action: Not for merging but remains for the ship plume paper.
  • mmichel3_bssa
    • Maintainer: Matthew
    • Description: Binned SSA
    • Status/Action: Delete.
  • mmichel3_distort_test
    • Maintainer: Matthew
    • Description: Study the effects of perturbations to particles in the middle of a scenario.
    • Status/Action: keep but not merge.
  • mmichel3_merge_master_fast1d
    • Maintainer: Matthew
    • Description: Merged fast1d with master.
    • Status/Action: All changes are available in Jeff's fast_deposition_new branch. Keep until merged.
  • multi_sect

  • netcdf64

    • Description: NetCDF 64 bit offsets
    • Status/Action: Rebase on master (Jeff)

    • Description: Attempt to get rid of pointers. Fortran 2003 feature of allocatable arrays.
