Spring Boot Version Plugin

Add this dependency in your pom.xml

   <artifactId>version-plugin</artifactId>

 </dependency>
 ...
</dependencies>

Add in your pom.xml properties tag

<properties>
    ...
    <timestamp>${maven.build.timestamp}</timestamp>
    <maven.build.timestamp.format>yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss</maven.build.timestamp.format>
    ...
</properties>

Add in your pom.xml build tag

<build>
    ...
    <resources>
      <resource>
        <directory>src/main/resources</directory>
        <filtering>true</filtering>
      </resource>
    </resources>
    ...
</build>

Create version.properties file in src/main/resources

application.group-id[email protected]@
application.artifact-id[email protected]@
application.version[email protected]@
application.build-time=@timestamp@

Run your spring boot app, and see :

http://localhost:8080/version
