I'm Kevin, a CS student at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Hopefully your browser window isn't too narrow because CSS styles are not allowed in these profile READMEs and this layout is precariously balanced with newlines and img align.

(If the layout still looks off or there are missing image icons (should be 4, 2, 3 below), refresh).

All the Java code is from high school work, and some of the oldest Python repos are too. Almost all my non-school work is in Python or TypeScript with the exception of my contest programming repo, which has a lot of C and C++.

I enjoy working on writing educational content too: a lot of what I know is self-taught with written articles from all over the internet, and I'd like to contribute to the general pool of internet resources.

I've participated in 3 hackathons, though I don't exactly want to talk about what we made for uOttaHack and Hack the Valley... The idea behind the MHacks one was pretty cool but it was my first hackathon and back then, my knowledge on web stuff was pretty limited.

I think now is where I mention that I use VSCode as my editor for everything, my colour theme is GitHub Dark Classic, I don't use font ligatures, I put spaces in if (, for (, etc, I use Windows, WSL if needed, and an Ubuntu VM if really needed, I wish type annotations were as commonly used in Python as typings for TypeScript, I have no preference between JS frontend frameworks because I've never used any... okay that should be enough.

Cool widgets provided by anuraghazra/github-readme-stats. Given that no CSS is allowed on these things, I think the layout is decent...
