The author of this repo is a librarian volunteer for WestPac. She created this "theme" to blend with the organization's website on the parent organization's servers (aallnet.org). The parent organization limits the functionality of subpages, so creating something with a flat html structure was the goal. Getting the parallax to work was simply a conceptual challenge.

There are a couple of known issues with this parallax implementation:

• The images get blurry on high-resolution screens.
• The different scroll speeds require different css transformations; see Karl Danninger's page for an explanation of the magic behind the feature. If the browser viewport gets wide enough, the topmost image gets margins.
• The author has a full-time library job, and is not a true coder. She doesn't have the resources (mental or temporal) necessary to troubleshoot/fix these issues.

If someone else figures it out, send a message to [email protected] and they'll try to implement it on this site as time permits. The author has no idea how to safely pull/merge changes from forked github branches.
