This Wiki contains a detailed description of regression tests which Softvelum team uses for checking every public release of mobile products prior to publication.

Here are the test plans which we use for all features related for transmission via supported protocols: RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, SRT, RIST. Each applicable test is then set up on tester's device for further streaming. The results are checked on receiver side using its playback output.

Most of the time, Android and iOS connectivity feature sets are equal for Android and iOS so Screencaster plan is combined. However, Broadcaster features may vary due to platforms' limitations or just because they become available earlier on one of the platforms. We use Larix Grove for sharing test connections across our devices.

Other functional tests like image orientation, ABR, audio processing, stream recording or new features tests are also run depending on what features were affected during development process.

For some releases we run limited sets of tests, e.g. if protocols processing was not affected then only a subset of regression plan is used to test Larix against Nimble, Wowza and some of the social networks.

Other products and functional areas will also be described soon like Larix Player for Android and iOS.
