Issues with working on longer files worked out, transient clustering improved, overall performance gains

This version seems to have what it takes to extract traces and plot placefields from gc30 and gc 31 during short sessions, but several questions remain:

Can it perform on longer recordings? Can we get some performance boosts? Should we tweak things for better clustering performance?

Also unknown unknowns as we try more datasets....
