Although this compiles, there are a few issues to sort out:

  • WPF designers are not properly working. This needs to be addressed by Microsoft.
  • Interim design-time generated codes (*.g.xaml) are not properly parsed by R#.
  • Issue ServiceInsight 1.5.7 Fails on Startup #541 happens when you start the compiled .exe. Needs more investigation.

This could work as a baseline for future attempts on porting the project format when WPF projects are officially supported by Microsoft.

This is blocked on this issue in .NET.

The VS issue has been resolved. Discussing it with the platdev squad if we can take this on and finalize the work

I think the issue is resolved in .NET Core 3 with the SDK-style support for wpf projects. Should we wait until that is released?
