Fixes for XinaA15

XinaA15 is a jailbreak that is in public beta and is still in-development. As with any in-development jailbreak, bugs are to be expected. You can use the fixes below to resolve the issue.

If the fixes do not work, ask for support in the XinaA15 Support Server or report issues to the GitHub Issues.

XinaA15-related Issues

XinaA15 is broken!

This most likely happened because you updated the 40+ packages.

  • Try reinstalling the jailbreak environment:
    1. Reboot your device.
    2. Open the XinaA15 app
    3. Go into Settings and enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment
    4. Tap OpenJailbreak

XinaA15 resprings randomly!

This is a problem with your tweaks or XinaA15.

  • Uninstall recently installed tweaks:
    1. Open Sileo (or Saily)
    2. Go to Packages
    3. Delete any recently installed tweaks.

  • Try fixing the dylib:
    1. Open the XinaA15 app
    2. Go into Settings and tap Fixdylib
    3. Wait for a message to say Tips: Repair of dylib completed!

XinaA15 reboots randomly!

This does not have a guaranteed fix as XinaA15 isn't the most stable jailbreak, however you can still try the fixes below.

  • Update XinaA15:
    Learn how to update here.

  • Uninstall recently installed tweaks:
    1. Open Sileo (or Saily)
    2. Go to Packages
    3. Delete any recently installed tweaks.

XinaA15 broke auto-rotation!

Main cause(s) of this could be because: You used Ldrestart, XinaA15 automatically did a Ldrestart, or you need to update XinaA15.

  • Update XinaA15:
    Follow the update guide from here

  • Reboot your device:
    1. Restart your device
    2. Open the XinaA15 app
    3. Tap OpenJailbreak to re-jailbreak.

  • If it's still broken:
    Check the issue here.

XinaA15 app is stuck jailbreaking!

Unsure for what the reason for this is, however the fix is quite simple.

  • Try rebooting:
    1. Reboot your device
    2. Open the XinaA15 app
    3. Try jailbreaking again

  • Try reopening:
    1. Fully close XinaA15 in the app switcher
    2. Reopen the XinaA15 app
    3. Try jailbreaking again

Turning off my phone makes the screen go black!

For some odd rare cases, if you rejailbreak your phone with XinaA15 and then go to turn off your phone right after, the screen goes black. Follow the fix below.

  • Activate Siri:
    1. Hold the button combination to activate Siri
    2. The screen show wake up and start working again.

  • Force reboot your phone:
    1. Go to Apple's Guide
    2. Open the XinaA15 app
    3. Tap OpenJailbreak to rejailbreak.

XinaA15 states "your jailbreak environment is lower than the latest version"

This happens when you're updating from versions lower than 1.1.7/latest, and because of that it'll state that you need to reinstall the environment.

  • Enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment and re-jailbreak:
    1. Open the XinaA15 app
    2. Tap the Gear icon (Settings)
    3. Toggle Reinstall the jailbreak environment
    4. Exit back to the main page
    4. Tap "OpenJailbreak" or "Re-Jailbreak"

XinaA15 UI is gray and full of "Button"

This is because the unicode bugged out when trying to read Chinese file names.

  • Reinstall the XinaA15 App:
    1. Open TrollStore
    2. Tap XinaA15
    3. Tap "Uninstall App" and "Uninstall"
    4. Re-download the XinaA15 IPA
    5. Re-install XinaA15.

  • Rename The Files back to Normal:
    1. Install Filza File Manager
    2. Navigate to /var/containers/Bundle/Application/XinaA15/XinaA12.app/Base.Iproj
    3. Rename the files back using the list below and this Reference Picture

    4. After renaming them all, fully close XinaA15 and then re-open it.

Tweak-related Issues

Tweaks do not take effect or work!

This is either a case of an incompatible tweak or you haven't respringed your device yet.

  • Respring your device:
    1. Open the XinaA15 app
    2. Tap Respring

  • Incompatible Tweak:
    1. Open Sileo (or Saily)
    2. Check the tweak's depiction/changelogs, make sure it supports iOS 15 & XinaA15.

Tweaks disappeared upon rebooting!

This is because XinaA15 is a semi-untethered jailbreak. You must rejailbreak to regain your tweaks.

  • Rejailbreak:
    1. Open XinaA15
    2. Tap OpenJailbreak
    3. Press OK when Process is about to be completed pops up.
    4. Check Sileo

Chinese or English box pops up on top!

You are in safe mode. This happens when you have bad tweaks, or (sometimes) you're installing too many things at once.

  • Exit Safe Mode:
    1. Look at the top of your screen
    2. Tap the text at the top to respring out of safe mode.

  • If you re-enter Safe Mode:
    1. Open Sileo
    2. Uninstall any tweaks you've recently installed.

Sileo won't let me update the 35+ packages!

Don't update any of those packages when using version 1.1.5 or higher, this will break the jailbreak.

  • Already upgraded:
    1. Reboot your device.
    2. Open the XinaA15 app.
    3. Go into Settings and enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment
    4. Tap OpenJailbreak

Error "Depends firmware" appeared!

  • Update XinaA15 to version 1.1.4 or higher:
    Follow the update guide here.

  • Update Sileo: Xina
    1. Download from here
    2. Install the IPA through TrollStore
    3. Check your Home Screen.

Installing a previously working tweak froze my phone!

This is a rare occurence that can happen with tweaks like BigSurCenter and CCSupport.

  • Enable Safe Mode and Uninstall Your Tweak:
    1. Reboot your device
    2. Open the XinaA15 app
    3. Tap OpenJailbreak
    4. Tap Cancel to enter Safe Mode
    5. Uninstall your tweak in a package mananger
    6. Tap ldrestart in the XinaA15 app to exit out of safe mode.

  • Reinstall the jailbreak environment:
    1. Reboot your device
    2. Open the XinaA15 app
    3. Tap the gear icon (Settings)
    4. Enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment
    5. Tap OpenJailbreak
    6. Tap OK after it finished.

Cannot get Filza dependencies from Sileo!

In the new versions of Sileo: Xina, they disabled installing or removing packages from the Proscurus repo, and they have removed the Proscurus repo.

  • Install the Filza: File Manager IPA:
    1. Go to the TIGI Software Website
    2. Scroll down and download the TrollStore IPA.
    3. Install the IPA through TrollStore.
    4. Check your Home Screen.

Miscellaneous Issues

Sileo fails to open or crashes!

Sileo can fail to open when you aren't jailbroken or Sileo is broken.

  • Try rejailbreaking the device:
    1. Reboot your device
    2. Open the XinaA15 app.
    3. Tap OpenJailbreak

  • Try reinstalling Sileo:
    1. Download Sileo: Xina from here
    2. Uninstall the old Sileo from TrollStore
    3. Install the new Sileo: Xina IPA in TrollStore
    4. Launch Sileo from your Home Screen.

Sileo shows "error 522"

  • Clear Sileo's Cache:
    1. Open Sileo
    2. Go to Sileo Setting
    3. Scroll down and tap Cache Size
    4. Press OK to Clear

  • Try resetting your device's settings:
    1. Open Settings
    2. Go to "General"
    3. Go to "Transfer or Reset iPhone"
    3. Tap "Reset All Settings"

Sileo won't let me log in!

  • Install Sileo: Xina Beta
    1. Download from here
    2. Install the IPA through TrollStore
    3. Check your Home Screen.

TrollStore downgraded to 1.3.5!

  • Update TrollStore through the app:
    1. Open TrollStore
    2. Go into Settings
    3. Tap "Update TrollStore to x.x.x"

  • Update TrollStore through the .tar
    1. Download the .tar from here
    2. Open the .tar with TrollStore
    3. Let it automatically update for you.

Errors "Could not find release file", "Didn't find architecture" appeared!

  • Use a different repo.
  • Wait for the repo to support Rootless targets.

Sileo won't respring the device automatically!

  • Install the Sileo: Nightly by a .deb:
    1. Go to the Sileo: Xina GitHub
    2. Download the org.coolstar.sileonightly.deb in the releases
    3. Open the .deb in Filza or a package manager
    4. Install Sileo: Nightly and check your home screen.

TrollStore "Install Error 173" appeared!

You are currently missing Idid on TrollStore, this can be simply installed however.

  • Install TrollStore 1.5.0 or later:
    1. Download the latest TrollStore.tar from here
    2. Open the .tar with TrollStore
    3. Let it automatically update for you.

  • Install Idid through TrollStore:
    1. Open TrollStore
    2. Tap Settings
    3. Tap "Install Idid"
    4. Idid should automatically install.

Sileo error "An unknown error occurred... Problem with /var/.../lists/unclutter.anamy.gay" appeared!

When you have the unclutter.anamy.gay repo, have something installed from it, and refresh it with no internet, installing anything will break. You can fix this by:

  • Remove the repo or/and re-add it:
    1. Open your Package Manager.
    2. Go to Sources
    3. Tap Edit
    4. Remove the RepoUnclutter Repo
    5. Try installing your tweak again.

Tapping Rebuild Icon Cache in TrollStore deleted my jailbreak apps!

This doesn't actually delete your apps, however it does make them disappear for a short period of time.

  • Rebuild Icons in Saily:
    1. Install & Open Saily
    2. Tap the gear icon (Settings)
    3. Scroll down and tap the arrow for Rebuild Icons

  • Reinstall the Apps:
    1. Open your package manager
    2. Find the missing apps
    3. Reinstall the apps
