Fundamentals-of-Data-Science

This repository hosts the final project (Cesario_Ciciani_Di_Giammarco_Fazio_Oddi.pdf) for Fundamentals of Data Science exam, held by Professor Fabio Galasso, as part of the Master’s degree in Data Science at Sapienza University of Rome.

Exam Structure

The Fundamentals of Data Science exam comprised two assignments, a final project, and a written exam that covered both theoretical concepts and laboratory questions.
This repository contains the details of the final project component of the course.

Project Overview

For our final project, we were tasked with modeling a prediction problem of our choice using any methods we learned in class. My group chose to focus on predicting stroke risk, aiming to determine whether an individual is likely to have a stroke based on clinical data from patients. We sourced the dataset from Kaggle and decided to use Python for our analysis.
You can find more details about the project, including how we divided the work, in the PDF uploaded to this GitHub repository. The .ipynb file contains the project's code.

Exam Score and Project Usage

This project (plus the assignments and the final exam) received a perfect score of 30 cum laude out of 30 on the final exam. Feel free to use it as a reference if you are planning to take the exam in the upcoming years.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further explanations or encounter any issues with the materials.
