Releases: GEOS-ESM/GEOSadas
GEOSadas-5.30.3-M21C-6
This includes the following additional changes (largely to address Python3 issues associated w/ ability to run AOD analysis). Additionally this includes fixes to allow R21C to take multiple sources of OMPS-LP.
GMAO_Shared: v1.7.2+R21C_v1.0.5
MAPL: v2.35.3+R21C_v1.4.0
GMAOana_GridComp: v1.5.5-R21C-7
GEOSadas-5.41.2
This includes changes to handling GMI that had been in GEOSadas-5.29.5-p6 but had been missed when 5.41.1 was created.
GEOSanaGridComp: v5.41.5
This also includes a cosmetic change to GMAO_Shared (aimed at facilitating some implementation in SWELL).
GEOSadas-5.41.1
This is a release prepared for x0050. The following are the main features of this tag:
-
Incorporated GCM v11.6.1 - this is a desirable version of the model for multiple reasons, particularly since this version is capable of building a single executable GEOS-JEDI Var application.
-
Reliance on a CRTM version that is fully complaint with the version GMAO presently points to for JEDI exercises: v2.4.1-jedi.1
-
Multiple GEOSana_GridComp PRs enter into this. Check notes on release: v5.41.4
-
Revised GEOS_mksi: v5.41.3 - this version is relevant not only because it handles the observing systems necessary for x0050, but also because it moves all obs-releated RC files into the mksi repo. This is important to allow connecting w/ SWELL in a seemingness manner, and guaranteeing obs systems and classes are handled constantly between GEOS-GSI and SWELL-JEDI. Notice this db version turns on bias correction of channel 14 of AMSU-A and channels 15 of ATMS.
-
This release is also Milan-ready. Particularly, it incorporates the following PRs from GEOSadas repo:
PR #292: revise SLURM opts for ensemble (more of that went in in other PRs as well)
PR #297 - CI fix
PR #298 - revision of ensemble diagnostic handling (and configuration)
PR #303 - handling of OMPS-LP (fixes in GEOSana)
- Notice that compilation for SLES15 and Milan requires a flag "-mil" when issues parallel_build.csh command line.
GEOSadas-5.30.3-M21C-5
This brings in the capability to run M21C on the Milan nodes.
The following are part of the changes:
- GMAOpyobs now from repo (rather than directory): v1.0.6
- AeroML NN now from repo: rt1.0.0-cak_tag0 (same as used in GEOSadas-5.41.1)
- GMAO_Shared: v1.7.2+R21C_v1.0.3
There also a number of changes in the fixture here introduced in PR#299
Anyone using this release to setup M21C or M21C-like experiments should read the following:
https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/GEOSadas/wiki/I.-MERRA%E2%80%9021C
Notice in particular
- This release "packs" various tasks of the ensemble in single SLURM jobs as it used to. These are changes in the AtmEnsConfig file.
- To reproduce results on SLES12 - cascade - make sure to set NX and NY in your file.input (for fvsetup) using the same parameters used in the original cascade run(s).
GEOSadas-5.30.3-M21C-4
This is a slightly revised version of the previous release that incorporate changes to the following repos in addition to the changes in the fixture:
@GMAO_Shared: v1.7.2+R21C_v1.0.2
@GEOSana_GridComp: https://github.com/GEOS-ESM/GEOSana_GridComp/releases/tag/v1.5.5-R21C-5
The changes in the fixture amount incorporate PR #296 which mainly involved (i) resisting the parallelization of the ensemble and (ii) a the handling of calculating statistic for the ensemble output (including fixes to stream names, and date/time of output - this are things that come out in the atmens_edstat tar balls).
GEOSadas-5.30.3-M21C-3
This release is non-zero-diff for the ADAS. The following summarizes major updates:
- Update to enable PlanetIQ+ GEOoptiocs ROs
- Update to include recent data outages in FP for when production reaches NRT
- Restore
