Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues.

Please describe the feature you have in mind and explain what the current shortcomings are?

With the implementation of applications launching and the "web actions" it becomes accessible to implement the same launching of AYON applications directly from within Shotgrid.

For example @fabiaserra did a working prototype for their implementation here as he mentioned on discord.

launch_ayon_apps_from_shotgrid

How would you imagine the implementation of the feature?

Implement functionality on Shotgrid to be able to launch the applications.

Are there any labels you wish to add?

  • I have added the relevant labels to the enhancement request.

Describe alternatives you've considered:

🕵️ Steal Fabia's work.

But I'd prefer enchanting him to create a PR. 🙉 🙈 🙊
