I am working in 4 different AWS accounts, each one having 3 roles. I have all 12 profiles saved with the extension.

Lately I have found that every few days, when I click one of my saved profiles, instead of the AWS Console Home page opening directly as it usually does, the browser is redirected to the access portal instead. I then have to hit the Click to Load Profiles button (although all my profiles are still listed) to basically force a refresh. As mentioned, it will then work normally again, but only for a little while before the scenario repeats.

So I wouldn't describe this as a major bug, but it is a little annoying - and prior to the access portal layout changes this never used to happen.

System info:

  • Debian 12.6
  • Firefox 115.12.0esr (64-bit)
  • AWS SSO Profiles Switcher 0.5.0

I hope the above information is sufficient.

BTW, in spite of the occasional hiccup such as the above, this extension is super-useful - especially having the ability to work in different accounts simultaneously thanks to the container feature.

Thanks for reporting this bug.
I suspect this is linked to some recent changes on AWS side, I will have a look into it soon.

Yeah, this makes is quite annoying.
I need to refresh the profiles 2-3 times a week.
