Consolidation post country page release

Global updates post new Country Pages release. A lot of small fixes and improvements to UI, including updated/refactored SEO for the whole app, a README over haul, and refactoring of about page into the new react architecture.

GFW 3.0.0!

Over the past 6 months GFW has gone through a visual and architecture redesign with some significant changes to all parts of the site. So we thought it was time to start keeping record of all these updates.

This initial release of GFW 3.0.0 comes alongside the recent release of the new country page dashboards which are the first major design change to the new version. A few other significant changes include:

Major:

• NEW country pages dashboards
• NEW about page
• NEW Places to Watch layer added as a sub product of GLAD alerts

Minor:

• Updated map layers (Brazil Biomass, 2010 tree cover extent)

Patch:

• GLADS: calculation of areas and analysis tool improvements

New Legend and Subscriptions Workflow

This new release brings a new legend on the interactive GFW map, and upgrades the subscriptions workflow on the map to make it easier to use. It also enables the use of webhooks as way to get alert notifications instead of just via email. The release includes a series of new layers as well a new Forest Watcher pane on the home page.

It also includes various bug fixes.

In summary:

• new legend layout and functionality on the /map page;
• new subscriptions workflow on the /map allowing users to start the subscriptions process while still logged out, and not loosing that information when they log in;
• enables notifications of alerts via webhooks on both the /map page and the /my_gfw/subscriptions page. It includes testing functionality to ensure all is working as expected;
• adds Forest Watcher pane on the home page;
• Adds new layers of data to the map page;
• bug fixes and improvements.
