Using vis-timeline with Next.js/Tailwind and pre-rendered React 18 HTML via Next

I'm trying to get vis-timeline to play nice with Next.js 14. There's a few problems I'm having:

• It doesn't automatically update with hot reloading during development
• I'm not sure how to get it to work with React 18 components (without using createRoot and render a bunch of times) or Tailwind CSS (without using the [&] selector). Ideally these would be pre-rendered on the server as well. The main reason for this is because I'm trying to use it with an icon pack.

Anyone managed to get these to work?
