Is there a guide for better understanding the intended functionality of the Pages feature? Its a super awesome benefit of using Bonjourr. I have 3 PC's here in my rat hole. 2 Linux + Win11. Profiles galore because .. i digress. So i've basically got my "Linux on the HDTV" bonjour pages, and my Win11 display pages. i dunno . doesn't make sense to me either, but point is. Often times when I view on the Win PC, or Linux after Win, some / many of my previously created Folders are empty. Pages often remain, but the contents seems to have shifted One-Page to the left. I hate to go on sounding this rambling. Cheers! |

Oh. I should add. I save the bonjour extension .json files (on "Export" function), to a "cloud storage" folder ./user/MEGA/... that's when i'm realize previous Folders/ Pages imported as empty. i've tried beautifying the JSON, etc. Does a script exist to search for, and eliminate duplicates in your JSON file format? Also. |

Link pages are currently an experimental feature, and will be improved in the next major update (20.0) coming next month. It will be renamed to "link groups" because it's more fitting.
That's not a lot, but here is the documentation for link pages: https://bonjourr.fr/docs/overview/#link-groups
Someone else mentioned these issues, it should be fixed next update !
Indeed, I don't think it will be ever possible though 🤔
There is no reference on how to edit the JSON, but I agree that would be pretty interesting to add to the documentation ! Thank you for your thoughts, and being a power user 🙏 |

Awesome! Fantastic stuff! If I can ever find the time, I'll take a look at how you're appending entries etc. I'd love to help in any way i could. i dunno why it speaks to me so much. EDIT: To be clear ( apologies, as i forget where i felt it was implied ). I do not presume to be an expert in coding by any means. I think all of what you've done with Bonjourr is amazing! I realize it's new, and in early dev, so I completely get what you mean by the pages/ collections/ etc. So much to consider. You seem to be quite aware already of how to design an aesthetically pleasing interface, as well as one which is functional under a balance of user operations available vs available user options: a critical distinction! If I, and ADD type guy finds an interface to be pleasing, and "ergonomic" (what's the word?) to my needs, then it's good. And that's rare. As an artist myself, I realize that it's one of those things. You either have it, or you don't. Some people are born with little need for a professor's guidance. Advisory is typically beneficial in any circumstance. Probably why we hear "the President spoke to his advisors..." so often. LOL |
