Describe the bug
The panels, such as those included in the "our team" and "projects" pages, do not render anything for more recent versions of jupyter book

To Reproduce

  1. Clone the current handbook repo
  2. Build from scratch (using most recent version of jupyter book)
  3. Update the "Our team page" inside the panel.
  4. Update will not be included.

Expected behavior
"Should see updates in "our team" section
