Some German states have a webpage (e.g. on the website of their Ministry of Education) to inform when school is cancelled due to heavy snow or other extreme weather conditions. Some also provide this information as an RSS feed.

I have already implemented Schleswig-Holstein, similar parsers could be created for other states, for example:
